There is definately at least one Mountain Lion in the Chapel Valley Area.  Please be careful.

I (Woody) saw a mountain lion cross Chapel Lane Road from the greenway North of Bristlecone Pl and go up into Sierra Place at approximately 7:30 PM.  This was October 2007 

Once again a mountain lion has been sighted in the area.  This one was seen late in September 2008 by Kim Sprague farther North on Chapel Lane Road before you get to the Y. 

The latest incident is below from Ann Craine

In the early hours of June 15th we were awakened by the sounds of screaming.  We realized that it was a mountain lion- yes, we do know what cats sound like and it was not a cat. It was in  our garden and we could hear it walking in the brush. At the bottom of the garden it got into a scuffle with something and then went on it's way- still screaming. Later, my neighbor said that her cat had rushed in when she opened the door to hear what the noise was.  This was June 2009

We need to be aware that we are surrounded by hills and the habitat of mountain lions. We live in the center of Chapel Valley on Powderhorn Circle.
